Since you and Hibiki are now fighting one another (which is the definition of an engagement, I do believe) you cannot Hide as you are 'Engaged in Combat.' You would need to use some technique that allows you to disengage again in order to do so.

That being said, issues with disengaging after engaging have led me to think of some stealth skills just to allow you to disengage (instead of just different ways of hiding...)

Also, moving during the Defense Phase will be going under review. I wasn't thinking of it at the time, and it's still being thought up, but moving during the defense phase is generally a no-no unless it's under certain conditions to prevent it from negating logical attacks (why dodge when you could just run 25m away). Either way, it does not impact how the fight has gone thus far.

Sasuke, please edit your post for a new action and post when that has been done (or make a new post entirely, your choice).

Raizen took the slash, having not prepared to get out of the way in time. "That was quite close! It almost took my head off" His gaze darted left and right as he tried to come up with a plan. 'I guess this is all I can do for now...' and with that, the Uchiha disappeared back into the dense forest behind him. "Tag stranger, you're it!" While in the forest, he tore off his shirt, tying it tight around his wound.

'Running? After taunting an opponent - what a coward!' Hibiki thought to himself, in reality it seemed that his opponent was attempting a tactical retreat possibly to some more advantageous ground. Regardless, if he kept the pressure on his fleeing opponent, another opening would reveal itself. The black clothed shinobi immediately gave chase to the bleeding coward. He used the trail of blood to follow him into the forest - tracking from the dark beads of fluid on the branches.

Once his opponent stopped once again, Hibiki's Naginata was thrust forward hoping to catch the fleeing opponent off guard. Though, in this heavily covered environment, using the weapon seemed more cumbersome.

Hibiki didn't even notice the metal shard which came whistling through the trees, the padded armor seemed to have done its job marvelously as the shinobi didn't even feel the blade. Instead, the male in black simply pressed his advance. To his credit, he had noticed the pattern of the Kawarimi that his opponent had just used, it would serve him well if his opponent attempted to replicate the same trick twice in a row (or much less likely three times in a row) to continuously escape his blade.

Hibiki came with a horizontal slash this time, slicing through brushwork to his opponent.

Raizen watched as the kunai just seemed to do nothing to his opponent. "Aww man..dang it! his dark eyes watched the blade come at him again, this time aiming to swipe at chest level. Raizen prayed it would work a second time, and performed the Kawarimi once more. It seemed that luck was on his side for this brief moment as his body faded away from the blade and appeared elsewhere, leaving another piece of lumber to be struck by the bit of wood that took his place.

"This is getting harder..I dont know if I can last much longer.." Raizen said, feeling the effects on of lower chakra on his body. He had to try to find a place to hide again, hopefully this time would work. He found a place that was fairly well, at the very least it allowed him more coverage. While he waited, he took his time to catch his breath.

It seemed that his opponent was too great of a coward to stay and fight, he had gone to disappear into the trees. With a loud sigh, the man clad in black shook his head. 'There is no point to continuing this, the coward will find his death for himself.' Hibiki thought to himself and began to make his way out of the network of trees.

The reality of the situation was that he had already 'won' the engagement if his opponent was simply running away constantly. With that knowledge Hibiki began to make his exit. He continued his movement, though more casually than before and maintained a southward direction. It was highly unlikely that his opponent, in such a state, would chase after him and even more unlikely that the boy would be stupid enough to attack him again.

It was only then that Hibiki noticed the small blade embedded in his armor. He pulled out the weapon which had barely scratched him (the mark wasn't even bleeding) and twirled the blade around. In its current state it was completely unusable; throwing it wouldn't even slow someone down. If he was to use such a weapon, he would need time to be prepare. Doing something like that was foolish when an opponent was so close by; though he wasn't currently 'engaged' with his adversary so to speak.

Double Post: Indeed, I think its over too. Im not going to chase out someone who is clearly at an advantage with something as damaging to me as the naginata is. Chasing after in my condition would just mean I open myself to getting stomped on. Thanks for the battle so-ri. It helped me learn the system quite well. <3

Raizen watched as his opponent left the forest, and waited til he was farther to make his own exit. This battle was not in his favor ever since the first assault from the polearm, and he knew it. He just had to bide his time, learn the basics of battle first hand and come back safely to tell the tale.

The Uchiha was confident that his learning experience was good enough as it was, and he thanked his opponent. "Whoever you were..thank you for the fight. You won this, and I admit defeat. I hope we meet again.."
