From what I can tell the forum itself doesn't have just a general discussion. I know we have different threads for talking about specific topics, but nothing to just... chat.

So, just chat. Since the village general discussions don't exist anymore, I think this will fill that void for me. I have no interest in the new NRP and thus, cannot post there... and random general discussion in the PGC subforum seems weird. So, this was my conclusion.

I'd like to start by asking... is there anyone out there? :P Hellloooo?

And... hm... seen any good movies or TV shows lately?

"My name is Earl" is pretty good, but quite old. "Fringe" is becoming quite popular but I can't stand that show... very, very pseudo science rather than actual good Sci Fi.

I'm watching Bablyon AD now (movie), but it got bad ratings. I'll report back later.

I think my mom watched the first episode of Fringe... but it really doesn't seem interesting to me.

I'm only really interested in 3 shows on TV right now... House, Numb3rs, and Survivor: Gabon... and I'm really only watching the last one cause it's available OnDemand to watch whenever I'm bored.

I suppose I'll watch American Idol when that starts again, given that my mom is still interested and wants me to watch with her.

As far as movies go... I don't see a lot of 'em and I'm only planning to see 2 movies in.. pretty much the next year XD I plan to go see Twilight and Harry Potter... 6? I think it's the 6th one. They moved that back though quite a bit.

Fringe is good. Wierd, kinda decent storytelling, but good. Heroes is good as always. House... of course it's godly.

then i happened on Lipstick Jungle, which made me lol pretty hard when i watched it. Now im into that show too... and i saw like a couple minutes of an ep of gilmore girls when i saw tht my brothers left the TV on. shit's pretty funny even tho i shouldnt be admitting i think so.

Anyone ever watch Degrassi? The beginning of the summer I would watch every single episode when they had the full-on marathon. It's a great show. It's mostly in highschool, different situations that goes on with a set of generations.

The new generation now are the children of the people from the old generation. There are about 2 or 3 generations, imagine, they've been around since the 80s, and still making episodes.

Fringe has okay story telling but the science and ideas are just illogical and complete crap. The script writing/acting isn't the best either.

And have you been watching the new season of Heroes?! It's absolute garbage‼

I watched Step Brothers starring Will Ferrell yesterday. It was pretty good, but Will Ferrell can be a little bit "too much" sometimes.

I still believe Gabriel is Peter's brother because this all happened to make the future that Peter time traveled too. My best bet is that Gabriel is Peter's Half brother. Cause Peter didn't even change anything in the time rift to pervent the future from happening, he needs to focus on getting his powers back before fucking up time. XD

lmfao I had to show that scene (and it was probably the only part of heroes they ever watched) to my friends. I was like 'This is the epitome of a great villan.'

Also, after he used his new skill, I'm pretty sure that they're not related at all. I think that the future only springs up the way it did because Gabriel found a way to be at peace with himself and his hunger. Although that variation of the future seems to have been averted as he's back to his old ways again.

My fave scene so far that I've witnessed is when Sylar is examining Claire's brain, and she asks if he's going to eat it. "Eat your brain? -leans really close to her face- Claire, thats disgusting."

Yeah, this episode was sweet. Sylar's scenes were funny and sweet killertastic. I love Sylar, been a fan of that character since his first full Zachary Quinto appearance. I dont think thats a bad quality <.<.

Time travel..good lord, everytime they do it they make a new parallel world thats reflected in whenever Peter travels to the future/ Future Hiro comes back to warn of something..balls.

And wtf...Captain America? Seriously? Bad enough we had Spiderman Mohinder and "The German" Magneto, but now we got Cap? Who's next? Hulk? Wolverine? Gambit?

Side note: maybe we should move this into a weekly Heroes thread <.<

Dude, he's not Captain America, there are pretty slim pickings when it comes to actual useful powers. As well, if you're going to give people powers first in line would most likely be the government.

But still, the all american reference..America..Im sure he's a variation of Captain <.<. Not too many slim pickings when you got Super Speed, Super Strength, Super Durability(The Haitian's brother), Cryokinesis, Pyrokinesis, Telekinesis, Chronokinesis(maybe), Magnetics/Electromagnetic Field Manipulation, Water manipulation, Grass/Earth...and...hm.

Then again I dont know if they even have the formula perfected to the point where they can actually assign which powers go to which individuals...how would you do that with that one tub of cherry kool-aid? Like..do you just manipulate one aspect of the formula before you go inject it to someone? I'd fuckin sign up for this program if we had it ._. if only we did...

I have come to the conclusion that as long as I am male, all I will care about is comfortable amounts of money, sexy cars, sexual intercourse, and the constant release of good comedy/action movies. With mind manipulation, I could get 3/4 of those with no problem, and influence the last as a last resort.

Im kinda at a loss for which powers I'd like..I dont want to cop out and be a Power Sponge...but Intuitive Aptitude is sweet too...Gaaaaah..I dont know! Usually the powers fit the personality and such too though. =/. What would you say I'd have?

Heh, seriously thought. Absorbing energy, and then being able to redirect it and convert it would kick ass. It would be like a sleeper power. Some fire gets up all in your shit, you just absorb all the radiation/heat energy, convert it to kinetic and knock him into next week =X

We could do a Heroes RP..Who wants to head it up? When I saw in the "Our Father" episode that they had like, 20 marines there I was like "oh shit son...."

Hmm, well it would be similar. However I suppose you could just fiddle with Gama RP (if Sepher and the gm's of that) wanted to. Could make it really easy level based to.

Marvel style:

X amount of XP to raise from level 1 to 5. Each level you get a new ability with your power.

For example we'll take Claire from Heroes,

1) Regeneration
2) Can't Feel Pain
3) Etc. (I'd go with something like super strength or above average strength since they could work out and in theory it would repair the teared muscles making the person stronger. This could be debated that it puts it back the way it was, but I digress...)

Let's go another route.

Flight:

1) Hovering. (You move at a slow speed, but are able to defy gravity and float around.)
2) Flight. You can buzz around and fly to any distance.
3) Super Sonic Flight - You can fly at a supersonic speed (Nathan Pitrelli)
4) High altitude flight - your body and lungs have changed so you need far less oxygen, and are resistant to the cold temperatures.
5) Superman zomg speed flight - Yeah, you can fly really really really fast. Hyper Ultra Mega Sonic.

Make it Exponential to gain. Make it easy, x amount of "battle" posts or something. Would be fun.
